My husband and I started the Ideal Weigh Program on January 20th, 2019, after seeing Erika Canales on January 17th. I joined the program, more to support my husband, who has a lot more weight to lose. At that visit, my weight was 150.2, and my BMI pushing over 25, into the overweight category. The weight crept on gradually, after having and raising three children, and over four decades in the nursing profession. A quick pick-me-up for energy during this time was a chocolate bar or other snack, and a coke. Breakfast always started with coffee, fully loaded with cream and sugar. These bad habits, and sugar cravings, over a period of time were starting to affect my health. My blood pressure and blood sugar were going up, and it definitely made my fibromyalgia symptoms worse. Recently retired, and wanting to enjoy retirement in good health, my husband and I decided to try the Ideal Weigh Program.

Lifestyle Building - Losing the weight
The program was so simple to follow, and actually worked! My original goal was to get to 136 pounds. I easily reached that, and realized how much better I felt, so I kept resetting my goal to a lower weight. I currently weigh 122 pounds, with a total loss of 28 pounds.
Lifestyle Living - Keeping the weight off
The biggest thing is in the way I feel! I have more energy, I am more active, and less symptomatic. My blood pressure and blood sugar parameters are all normal since I made my lifestyle changes. I have a much better diet, LOVE vegetables, LOST the sugar cravings, and have a much better diet overall. It has allowed me to fully enjoy retirement and to have the energy and desire to pursue all my other passions and interests!
