Flank Steak with Garlic Soy Sauce

This tender steak is a toothsome dish that meat lovers will devour! Make sure to marinate the flank steak ahead of time to allow the flavor to soak in.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs flank steak
  • 6 cups chinese cabbage, sliced 1/4” thick
  • 2 cups red cabbage, sliced 1/4” thick
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 8 tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 clove garlic, crushed
  • salt, to taste
  • ground pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Score flank steak on both sides.
  2. Marinate the meat in soy sauce and garlic in the refrigerator for 24 hours.
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan and slowly cook the Chinese cabbage.
  4. When tender, add half of the meat marinade, cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
  5. Add water if there is not enough liquid.
  6. Repeat process in a different pan for the red cabbage.
  7. Heat the broiler.
  8. Remove meat from the marinade and place in an oven-safe dish under a pre-heated broiler for 8 minutes on each side.
  9. Cooking times vary, depending on the desired doneness.
  10. Allow the meat to sit for 5 minutes.
  11. Slice at an angle and serve with the 2 different cabbages.
