Beef Stew Bourguignon Style

Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 lbs beef shoulder, cubed 1″ thick
  • 3 cups mushrooms
  • 3 green peppers, shredded
  • 2 cups celery root, cubed
  • 1 tbsp oregano, crushed
  • 2 tbsp crushed tomato
  • 7 oz Ideal Protein Oriental Sesame Sauce
  • 2 tsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tbsp onion powder
  • sea salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. In skillet, brown meat in hot oil.
  2. Drain excess fat.
  3. Transfer meat to slow cooker.
  4. Sauté peppers, mushrooms and celery root.
  5. Add onion powder.
  6. Add to slow cooker.
  7. Pour the tomato sauce into the skillet.
  8. Once boiling, add to slow cooker.
  9. Add Oriental Sesame sauce, oregano and Worcestershire sauce directly to slow cooker and cover.
  10. Cook on LOW for 10 to 12 hours.
  11. Remove 1/3 of the vegetables from the slow cooker and purée.
  12. Put the purée into a large skillet and add the sauce from the slow cooker.
  13. The sauce should coat the back of the spoon to be the right consistency.
  14. Add the rest of the vegetables and meat to the skillet, stir well and serve.
